Abstract

Cloud infrastructure provisioning is an essential component of software systems, yet remains complex and error-prone when performed manually or using cloud-specific templates. As organizations increasingly deploy across multiple cloud providers to enhance availability and avoid vendor lock-in, a unified and automated approach becomes imperative. This paper proposes a Terraform-based approach to the automated provisioning of virtual machine and network infrastructures across multiple heterogeneous cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The proposed approach follows an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodology with a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins for scalability and repeatability. A modular Terraform architecture abstracts cloud-specific configurations, enabling a single codebase to deploy equivalent infrastructure across multiple cloud environments.
